How about a trip to Cayman Islands

Cayman Islands Jan

SummaryA Brief Summary

The Cayman Islands are probably best known for one of two things. Either their highly favourable taxation laws, making this an offshore paradise in the monetary sense for the very wealthy, or, the fantastic scuba diving to be found in the waters off the fabulous beaches. As you’re probably not reading this looking to invest your millions overseas, it’s probably more pertinent to mention that the Cayman Islands lie half way between Cuba and Belize in the western Caribbean and are 3 small islands, Grand Cayman (by far the largest and most developed), Little Cayman and Cayman Brac. Where building or developing was easy (i.e. on flat land or by the coast) this has been done extensively on Grand Cayman and little coastal land remains untouched here, although the interior remains densely forested. The 2 smaller islands, (Little and Brac) are far less developed and much more of your “get away” type locations with a much truer Caribbean vibe to them than their larger sibling

WeatherAbout the Weather

The Cayman Islands are hot, sunny and humid for most of the year, but see rain in all months. Their position in the middle of the Caribbean Sea ensures temperatures never fall below 22°c and seldom rise above 32°c. The sunniest and driest weather is during Mar – Jul, before the onset of the peak hurricane season. The Islands tend to miss direct impact from hurricanes, despite being situated in the middle of the most active region of the hurricane belt, purely because of their small size, although they are indirectly impacted by rough seas, heavy rain and stronger-than-average winds several times a year.
