How about a trip to Gambia

Gambia Dec

SummaryA Brief Summary

The Gambia is an elongated-shape of a country, bound for 90% of its border by Senegal and the other 10% by the Eastern Atlantic Ocean. Straight down the middle, occupying about 10% of the country’s mass, lies the Gambia River, leaving a country which straddles its namesake water mass. Unsurprisingly for a coastal country, fishing is a major source of income, along with farming of the highly fertile soils. The largest income generator however, is tourism, despite its relative anonymity away from those “in the know”.
Getting to the Gambia is relatively easy, with direct flights from major UK airports, and getting to and from the national parks, the major attractions here away from the beaches, is relatively easy too with hotels providing frequent transport. Outside of that, recent investment by the Chinese has seen road quality improve, but what you’ll find at the other of the roads are still often very basic in comparison with the very agreeable hotel facilities you’ll no doubt have by the beach, or in your lodgings!
